British Male Audiobook Narrator?

It was a sad moment when my twins told me they were too big for me to read to them any more. I have some wonderful memories of those times though; when my daughter and I were both in tears at the end of 'Wolf Brother' (my son secretly was too but hid his face in the pillow), and cheering out loud when Molly Weasley bested Bellatrix.

I didn't think I had the attention span to record full length audiobooks, and yes, they can be a test of endurance as well as a juggling act, but when I realised that I could become a storyteller again I started my journey in narration.

Narrating an audiobook is like spending time with imaginary friends - I love getting to know each and every character, seeing them as they speak and move and interact, and then missing them when the book is completed. Sometimes I get so involved in the narrative that I have to stop and have a little weep and have often sent my authors a 'cry reel' of those outtakes. I even enjoy the prepping stages and consulting with my authors and rights holders to ensure I stay faithful to their vision.

I narrate SFW titles under my own name but any erotic / NSFW titles under the psuedonym Simon Goldhill to ensure they don't show up in searches by listeners who have heard my titles for younger audiences.

I have a professional home studio (Session Booth DW Series / Neumann TLM103 / Audient iD4 / MacBook Pro / Adobe Audition). I can provide a complete range of audiobook services, from recording and delivering raw punch and roll audio to editing, mastering and post-production.
If you'd like to discuss working together or would like a custom demo to help you select a voice for your audiobook then I'd love to hear from you.

Audible Listener

“This is my first time listening to Simon Goldhill, and he did a great job bringing the characters to life, humanizing them, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. He had a complete understanding of the characters he portrayed, captured all the characters’ emotions, and projected them into his performance. Goldhill is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the terrific listen.“
